BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County’s (CCE-BC’s) RootED Afterschool program is excited to invite the entire family to a fantastic, no-cost event, “We are RootED,” taking place on Wednesday, September 13 (Rain date 9/14), from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Recreation Park, Jefferson Avenue, Binghamton. This event is designed to kick off the school year with a bang while fostering family engagement and celebration.
At “We are RootED,” dedicated Educators will host various organizations and businesses, offering an array of entertaining games for families to enjoy together. As an added treat, a light dinner will be served, and every attendee will receive a complimentary ice cream ticket generously provided by the Binghamton City School District (BCSD). RootED’s collaborative efforts with the Binghamton City School District emphasize the significance of beginning the school year on a positive note, intending to bring families together for an evening filled with games, delicious food, and boundless fun.
Thanks to the support of the BCSD and the City of Binghamton Parks Department, the RootED team aspires to engage the community in this delightful and cost-free event.
RootED Afterschool is a program offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County, focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering/Environment, Arts/Agriculture & Math) education in collaboration with the Binghamton City School District.
