SALINAS, Calif. — Sunday, May 21st UnitedAg will host its first Ag Health Community Challenge at Toro Park in Salinas, California. This free event is geared to bring the agricultural community together to promote a healthier lifestyle. UnitedAg, an employer-sponsored health plan for Agriculture, will host a community health fair in collaboration with their member-sponsored health clinics in hopes of building a healthier and more sustainable agricultural community.
This fun-filled community event will feature a 3k and 5k walkathon, music, food, health booths, raffles/prizes, and much more. Spearheaded by board chair Veronica Urzua-Alvero, the event encourages attendees to form a team for the walkathon and show their support for living a healthy lifestyle. The employer with the highest participation will win the Ag Challenge award and be featured in the June edition of the HealthyU member newsletter. The deadline to register for the event is Friday, May 12.
