OWENTON, Ky. — United Producers, Inc. (UPI), the Midwest’s largest livestock marketing cooperative, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jackson Tolle as Business Development Manager for the cooperative’s Livestock Marketing division. In his role, Tolle will provide market analysis and development, as well as value-added initiatives for members in the Ohio River Valley area.
“Jackson’s hands-on agricultural expertise and involvement in the industry will make him a great addition to our UPI team,” said Mike Bumgarner, UPI president & CEO. “We’re excited to see Tolle further develop our livestock marketing division and customer experience throughout the Ohio River Valley.”
Tolle attended Murray State University, where he earned his master’s degree in agriculture with an emphasis in education. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication/media studies from Georgetown College. He joins UPI after working for the Kentucky Farm Bureau, where he served as Director of Young Farmer Programs since 2017. In this role, he was also responsible for two annual conferences and 11 regional meetings, in addition to managing the Leadership Enhanced Agriculture Development (LEAD) Program.
Tolle resides in Shelbyville, Ky. With his wife, Annie. He is active in his family’s beef cattle operation in Maysville, Ky., as well as raising a registered cow/calf herd and registered beef heifers alongside his wife and uncle. Tolle is a board member of the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association and chair of Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association Leadership. He is an active volunteer at the Mason County Livestock Improvement Association Show and Sale.
