GENEVA, N.Y. — The USDA Plant Genetic Resources Unit will be hosting their first summer cherry tour on Saturday, July 15. Join them on a tour of the USDA Tart Cherry Collection, which includes over one hundred different cherry varieties! Taste unique fruit while learning about their organization’s mission and current research projects. Also enjoy some cherry themed activities! There will be an opportunity to learn about the USDA Apple, Grape, and Vegetable collections.
Learn about the value of crop diversity and enjoy a walking tour of the collections from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Please arrive on time. No reservation needed.

Location: McCarthy Farm, 2865 County Road 6 (Preemption Road), Geneva, NY, 14456 (across from St. Mary’s Cemetery). Parking available.
