SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — The New York State Fair will run an extra day this summer.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the annual fair which has historically run for 12 days in Syracuse will be extended to 13 days. The fair begins Aug. 23.
The Democratic governor also outlined his budget proposals to spend $50 million to develop an 80,000-square-foot exposition center and an aerial gondola connecting the fairgrounds to Onondaga County’s Lakeview Amphitheater.
Cuomo says the two projects will complement recent upgrades at the fair.
