RALEIGH, N.C. — The NC State University Livestock Evaluation Course (ANS 309) is excited to host a Livestock Judging Clinic on November 16, 2023 at the E Carroll Joyner Beef Education Unit in Raleigh.
This event is designed for youth to learn the basics of livestock judging.
We are asking that you sign up for one of the two time slots, this will allow us to best manage the number of youth participating. Check out the schedule for specific details.

What to expect:
- Pick a time slot on the Google Form between 12:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (limit – 125 youth per time slot)
- 4-6 Classes of Livestock (Sheep, Goats, Cattle)
- Each student will be given handouts on livestock evaluation
- When your group arrives, you will be split based on the selected time slot. We will rotate classes every 15 minutes.
- It is expected to take approximately 1.5 hours to look at all the classes followed by receiving the official placings from the students.
