TOPEKA, Kan. — Here’s your sign to enter the 2023 Kansas Soybean Yield and Value Contests.
This year, every entrant will receive a shirt that our farmer leaders selected and we’re pretty pumped about the design. The awards are based on dryland regions as well as state wide for both dryland and irrigated as well as a state wide value contest.
The Kansas Soybean Yield and Value Contests are designed to:
- Recognize outstanding Kansas soybean farmers
- Provide a fun incentive for Kansas farmers to increase soybean yields and protein and oil contents
- Share information participants learned to help all Kansas soybean farmers raise higher yielding and more profitable soybeans
Also, one contestant who enters both the yield and value contest will be randomly drawn to receive registration, housing, and transportation for the 2024 Commodity Classic in Houston. Additionally, the top yield and top value in the state will receive this prize as well.
We know this growing season has been full of challenges, but we’d love to see how you stacked up in your area this growing season. After all, the yield and value contest is a snapshot of what this year looked like.
