DENVER — Rodeo All-Star (RAS) is proud to partner with The American Rodeo by Teton Ridge as a qualifying event in The American Contender Tournament West Region. RAS will take place October 6-7, 2023 at the National Western Complex.
Rodeo All-Star has been attracting all-star contestants since its inception in 2013. The partnership with The American solidifies the stature of the competition for rodeo contestants across the country. “The elite partnership formed between Rodeo All-Star and the esteemed American Rodeo by Teton Ridge is one we are exceptionally thrilled to announce” said Paul Andrews, President & CEO of RAS. “This allows us to provide an elevated opportunity for Rodeo All-Star athletes as they compete for a spot in the coveted American Rodeo!”
RAS athletes will have a unique opportunity to earn a spot at The American Rodeo, which takes place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, on March 9, 2024. RAS has been designated as an American Contender Tournament event. RAS champions and reserve champions will not only be awarded top-tier prize money but will also receive automatic advancement status to The American Contender Tournament West Regional Semi-finals January 11-13, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV.
The American Contender Tournament offers guaranteed prize money upwards of $540,000 for three Regional Semi-Finals and Finals rodeos and a chance to advance to The American, where qualifiers are eligible for the $1 Million Contender Bonus. In addition to the top two RAS athletes in each event advancing to Las Vegas, timed event athletes can be awarded points in The American Contender Tournament West Region standings.
RAS is an invitational rodeo with champion athlete invitees coming from nine associations and events: Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA), International Pro Rodeo Association (IPRA), Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA), National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA), Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR), Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo (BPIR), The American, and previous year Rodeo All-Star Champions.
