GALT, Calif. — The California FFA Foundation’s 5K for FFA, presented by Molina Healthcare of California, is set to take place from October 8 to 14, 2023. This event serves as a rallying opportunity for supporters of agriculture education, including alumni, industry leaders, and over 100,000 California FFA members.
Now in its third year, the 5K for FFA encourages participants to run or walk at their own pace, in their chosen location, all in support of the California FFA Foundation. Industry leaders from across the agriculture sector have committed to participating and supporting the event.
“Molina shares California FFA Foundation’s dedication to improving the lives of individuals across the state,” said Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “We’re proud to partner with an organization focused on developing the next generation of leaders in agriculture while supporting health and wellness in our local communities.
Alongside Molina Healthcare of California, the event is sponsored by agriculture producers and processors, as well as retailers including Fairlife, Sunkist, Wawona Frozen Foods, Sunsweet, Sun-Maid, Grower’s Crop Consulting, and Walmart. In addition to these sponsors, some industry members are supporting the event with their participation.
Cogent Consulting and Communications, Inc. (“Cogent”) proudly serves multiple clients within the agriculture sector and has enthusiastically sponsored a team of employees for the upcoming event.

Industry teams and individuals are encouraged to register before September 28 in order to be entered to win promotional giveaways, including gift cards, swag, and a Blue Diamond gift basket.
In addition, participants will receive an exclusive event t-shirt, a symbol of their support for agriculture education, and a well-earned finisher’s medal. Registration will remain open leading up to the event, ensuring everyone can participate.
The 5K for FFA provides an opportunity for individuals and communities across California to come together, prioritize health and wellness, and support local FFA programs. Participants can choose their own 5K route and complete the race at their convenience, offering a flexible and inclusive experience.
