NEWBERRY, Fla. — The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the Annual Master Gardener Plant Sale on May 14, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (22712 W. Newberry Rd, Newberry 32669). Admission and parking are free.
The Master Gardener Plant Sale will have a variety of herbs, annuals, perennials, natives, trees and more will be available at exceptional prices. Master Gardener volunteers will be on site for advice on selection and care of your plants. We will also have plant and gardening presentations and informational booths.
A plant diagnostic booth will be available to bring sick or diseased plants. IFAS Bookstore will be selling gardening publications. “Reducing Sodium with Herbs” workshop will be held in the Ag Auditorium at 10:00 a.m.
This annual plant sale is a fundraiser for the Alachua County Master Gardener Volunteer Program. The proceeds are used throughout the community. The funds are used to support school and community gardens throughout the county, summer camp scholarships for youth and other educational workshops for the Alachua County community. In 2021, over 100 Master Gardener Volunteers gave more than 5,000 hours of service to the community.
