CHARLOTTE, N.Y. — Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County for the 2nd Annual 4-H EXPO at Ontario Beach Park (Charlotte) on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event drew over 500 people of all ages in 2017.
4-H, a youth development program delivered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County is hosting the event in partnership with the Monroe County Parks Department. 4-H is the largest youth development organization in the United States, serving over 6 million youth of all ages. In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us.
The 4-H EXPO is an opportunity for families to experience all that our 4-H program in Monroe County has to offer. This event is free and open to the public. Families of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Activities will include 4-H STEM crafts & demos, including robotics, farm animal petting zoo, 4-H member & club projects, scavenger hunt & 4-H club demos. Also scheduled: Seneca Park Zoo ZooMobile, Dog Obedience demonstrations and “Ask a Veterinarian” Presentation with Q & A.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County staff and volunteers will be present to share information regarding our 4-H, Master Gardener, Nutrition & Agriculture/Ag in the Classroom Programs. 4-H projects will be judged at this event.
