PORTLAND, Maine — Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) grower training will be offered April 11, 12:30–5:30 p.m. and April 12, 8 a.m.–noon, at the Marriott Courtyard Portland, 321 Commercial St., Portland. In addition, a skill-building session will be held April 12, 1–4 p.m..
The training is for fruit and vegetable growers, and others who want to learn about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). The PSA course will satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement for farms.
