Let’s send some love! Click the images below for the product page.
1. Something Practical
Farmers use a lot of tools, supplies, and machines each and every day. Why not get them something they really need? Every farmer is different in their needs, but here are a few ideas to get you started!
How about a set of chains with hooks? (Mud season is on its way, after all!) VULCAN Safety/Binder Chain with Clevis Grab Hooks:
WD-40: Let’s be honest, who doesn’t need an extra can for their workshop? WD-40 Original Forumla:
And let’s not forget that other workhorse around the farm: duct tape. You can even get it in red for a little Valentine’s Day flair. 3M 3920-RD Duct Tape:
And how could we forget that little green tin? This will soothe any dry, cracking skin, human or cow! Check out our Just Me, Kate column here, for more insight on the wonders of this ointment. Bag Balm, 2-pack:
2. “I Love You” Cow
Let this cute little cow send a message of love to your favorite farmer this year! In addition to the little red “I Love You” message, you can also customize the cow with the name of your loved one, or have it packed up in a gift bag.
Not interested in cows? You also have the option of sending an “I Love You” chicken or and “I Love You” sheep!
3. Cow Necklace
Don’t want to go the stuffed animal route? Jewelry is always a great option for Valentine’s Day – but for a farmer, perhaps something a little more unique is of interest. This cow pendant comes in different sizes, materials, and chain lengths.
Interested in another animal? How about this horse pendant, or this neckalce, featuring chickens?
And for those seeking something a touch more masculine… have you ever considered cow cufflinks?
4. Dr. Squatch All Natural Bar Soap
Farming is a messy job, no matter your industry. We don’t recommend having a romantic dinner covered in silage, mud, or manure with the lingering scent of exhaust fumes and motor oil hanging in the air. Thankfully, these heavy-hitter soaps will clean away the grime! As an added bonus, these soaps are even Made in the USA!
Looking for a different scent? There are lots to choose from!
5. The Spice Lab BBQ Barbecue Spices and Seasonings Set
Another great product that’s Made in the USA, this seasoning set from The Spice Lab is sure to tickle your tastebuds! Smoky Pecan, Bad to the Bone, Sweet Rib Rub and Ancho Chilli + Coffee Rub will spice up your next grilling adventure.
6. Anker USB C Power Bank
Many farmers utilize a variety of technological tools – cell phones, tablets, laptops – and a place to charge those devices isn’t always handy on a farm. So if you’re looking to provide a high-tech gift this Valentine’s Day, consider getting your farmer a power bank. This model from Anker is top-of-the-line, and compatible with iPhone and Samsung devices alike with its USB-C port.
7. Chocolate
Farmers are not immune to the power of a sweet treat! These chocolates from Ferrero Rocher are absolutely irresistible.
Or perhaps this assortment of chocolate truffles or these Valentine’s Day M&Ms are more appealing?
8. Flowers
You could get your Valentine a dozen roses. But if you’re looking for something a little more interesting for the farmer with a green thumb, have your considered flower seeds? This mix from Botanical Interests includes Black Eyed Susan, Heirloom Carnation “Chabaud Blend,” Dahlia “Decorative Double Blend,” Heirloom Delphinium “Pacific Giants Blend,” Flower Mix “Grandmother’s Cut Flower Garden,” Gloxiniiflora Foxglove Blend or Aster “China blend,” Heirloom Hollyhock “Chater’s Double Blend,” Heirloom Shasta Daisy “Alaska,” Organic Sunflower “Heirloom Beauties,” and Heirloom Zinnia “Cut and Come Again.”
Is spring still too far away to be thinking about seeds? Consider bulbs, which can be grown indoors for a bit of enjoyment while the snow is still on the ground.
9. Coffee
Being a farmer is HARD work that includes early mornings, late nights, and a lot going on in between. Sometimes you need a little help to get going in the morning, or something to help you stay alert in the tractor cab. Death Wish Coffee has you covered, with easy, no-fuss packaging that’s quick to brew.
The company is based out of Saratoga Springs, NY — just a half hour from our local Morning Ag Clips office! Trust us, you’ll start your day off right with a cup from Death Wish Coffee.
Looking for the standard bag of ground coffee? Here’s a 16oz bag of the good stuff:
And of course, who could resist a quirky tractor mug for all that coffee?
Hopefully the above ideas have given you a headstart on finding just the right Valentine’s Day gift for your farmer!
