SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The 2023 American Emu Association (AEA) Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX, is little more than a month away.  Plans are coming together for a great convention.  It is shaping up to be fun and very informative with lots of beginner basics and regulatory updates.  The convention will start on Thursday evening, September 14, and end after the Banquet on Saturday night, September 16.

Our past conferences have been packed full of valuable information and outstanding networking opportunities, and we know this year will continue the tradition.

You will hear from speakers like Maria Minnaar, author of the “Emu Farmers Handbook I & II”, and discuss industry concerns in areas like:  “Keeping Emu Production Records”; “Understanding the Cosmetic Act” (with new changes we need to be aware of); “All About Emu Oil”; “Treating Emus As Livestock for Their Own Wellbeing”; “Public Speaking & Presentations”; “Good Fences Make Good Neighbors”; “Dodging a Legislative Bullet”; “Eggs Over Easy” (the importance of turning eggs while incubating); “Hints On Raising Emus”; DNA Testing for Sex Identity; a “Round Table Discussion” (panel & audience Q&A) and much more.
